The Golden Circle | Private Tour
The Golden Circle is Iceland's most popular day tour, and for good reason. Your Golden Circle experience with Pink Iceland will begin by treading in the footsteps of the Vikings at Thingvellir National Park. You’ll walk through the gorges, that are being torn apart as the tectonic plates move away from each other. If you listen closely, you just might hear the echos of the vikings deliberating at this UNESCO world heritage site of the first parliament in the world.
The renowned Geysir geothermal area is not to be missed as you’ll walk the path through boiling ground, but be on your guard as the geyser Strokkur will erupt when you least expect it! These otherworldly geothermal grounds are one of the most visited in Iceland for good reason.
The majestic waterfall Gullfoss is widely considered to be one of the most beautiful in the world. Were it not for local hero Sigríður Tómasdóttir who would walk all the way to the capital Reykjavik to argue against a dam being built up-river it would not exist in its current form - and our tour would be considerable less impressive.
We recommend lunch at one of the organic farms in the area. One of which is Efsti Dalur who offer the best ice cream in Iceland in our humble opinion - or maybe you'd rather like to enjoy tomato soup in a greenhouse at Friðheimar Tomato Farm.
You can also relax in the geothermal waters of Laugarás Lagoon, a beautiful modern spa surrounded by mountains and looking out over the Hvítá River. As the newest spot on the Golden Circle, Laugarás Lagoon welcomes guests with warm geothermal pools that blend naturally with the surrounding landscape. You can choose to add standard admission to Laugarás Lagoon at check out.
Traveling with Pink Iceland gives a unique opportunity for flexibility, so if something catches your eye, we’ll stop to take a look!

Offset your travel // Plant four trees
Tourism is thought to contribute up 1/10 of greenhouse gas emissions. This is unsustainable and we must all do our part to combat this. We here at Pink Iceland do our very best to reduce the amount of carbon we release into the atmosphere in addition to adhering to rigorous environmental and sustainability guidelines where we work towards reducing waste, recycling and reusing whatever we can. We calculate the carbon footprint of our entire operation, including our own travel to work and all our international travel. We then offset this it at least four times over in an effort to do not only become carbon neutral, but carbon negative. Our hope is that you will join us in our fight to combat the climate crisis by contributing to this effort.
