South Shore Adventure | Private Tour
You’ll see the villages and farms of the southern part of Iceland before we arrive at the Eyjafjöll mountain range. In clear weather you can see volcanos and glaciers that have erupted 9 times in the last 50 years, the latest of which was the infamous Eyjafjallajökull eruption of 2010 stranding millions of travellers all around the world. Reynisfjara beach, a black sand beach with its basalt column cliffs, is a particular favourite of the south. The crashing waves of the open Atlantic break on the black sandy beach of Reynisfjara which is incredibly picturesque with its mountainous backdrop. Remember to be extra careful at this powerful beach as the waves are unpredictable and powerful.
We’ll stop at the hidden waterfall Gljúfrabúi and the iconic Seljalandsfoss, the one you can walk behind. Along this stretch of the old sea cliffs, you’ll also see numerous other characterful waterfalls cascading down the mountainsides — and if the wind is strong, some of them even flow upward. The South Coast of Iceland truly has it all: waterfalls, glaciers, beaches, volcanoes, beautiful mountains, and farmlands.

Offset your travel // Plant four trees
Tourism is thought to contribute up 1/10 of greenhouse gas emissions. This is unsustainable and we must all do our part to combat this. We here at Pink Iceland do our very best to reduce the amount of carbon we release into the atmosphere in addition to adhering to rigorous environmental and sustainability guidelines where we work towards reducing waste, recycling and reusing whatever we can. We calculate the carbon footprint of our entire operation, including our own travel to work and all our international travel. We then offset this it at least four times over in an effort to do not only become carbon neutral, but carbon negative. Our hope is that you will join us in our fight to combat the climate crisis by contributing to this effort.
